Biography
Byla is Kevin Hufnagel, of Relapse recording instrumentalists Dysrhythmia, and Colin Marston, of Epicene/upcoming Troubleman recording artists Behold... the Arctopus as well as one half of Crucial Blast Records experimental duo Infidel?/Castro!. The two began collaborating in the late summer of 2003 in NYC, Kevin making weekend trips up from Philadelphia, to begin what would be their recording debut. Though their respective bands are more known for technical and abrasive music, Byla focuses on creating dream-like, rich atmospherics. Using guitar as it's primary sound source, Byla takes the listener from epic sound walls to late night, half-asleep drones.
