Translation Loss Records signs GRAVITON!
February.24.11Translation Loss Records are extremely excited to announce the addition of Los Angeles' GRAVITON to their roster!
GRAVITON formed when Intronaut guitarist and vocalist, Sacha Dunable, approached the prog-metal duo National Sunday Law (Derek Donley and Darin Tambascio) about recording a few songs that didn't quite fit with Intronaut. Fueled by pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) and a shared string theory fascination, the band quickly began collaborating on a diverse set of material that featured distinct musicianship, vocals and songwriting from each member.
By incorporating synthesizers, organ, piano, drum machine, samples, lap steel and acoustic guitars as well as the standard heavy rock instrumentation, GRAVITON'S TL debut "Massless" (which streets April 26th) proves to be a meticulously crafted masterpiece of ambient electronic fusion, shoegaze and melodic metal. Recorded by Derek Donley just prior to Intronaut's highly praised 2010 album Valley of Smoke, Massless is an album that reflects a remarkable time and place in minds of these three musicians.

Total Fucking Destruction disrupts and destroys with the new album
"Hater", a furious and stylized experiment of post-apocalyptic groove,
crushing pedal-to-the-metal grind together with rock, punk, jazz and
thrash to form a powerful work of grindcore art.
Recorded and mixed at Mark-it-Zero Music Studios (Brutal Truth,
Rumpelstiltskin Grinder, XXX Maniak, Vulcan, Old Head) by Dan O'Hare,
"Hater" is a technical and accurate representation of the poetry of
Total Fucking Destruction's over-the-top message and in-your-face live
performances.
"Hater" celebrates the slow motion apocalypse in true Total Fucking
Destruction style: Fast, loud, brutal, spontaneous and deadly fucking
serious; exploding with beauty and power. "Hater" will change
perceptions of TFD and grindcore. "Hater" will shout worldwide a
message of peace, love and total fucking creation.

AMERICAN HERITAGE
Chicago, IL's American Heritage have announced their next full-length. The record is titled Sedentary and it's due out March 1, 2011 via Translation Loss Records. Once out, it'll be the band's first new release since 2006's Millenarian.
The eleven-track album includes a different bassist on each song, and includes contributions from Mastodon's Bill Kelliher and Black Cobra's Rafa Martinez, among others. The group has since enlisted Erik Bocek (Joan Of Arc, Ghosts And Vodka) as their permanent bass player.
